Mrs. Frances Cregan (nee McCarthy) the oldest resident of the town of Croom passed away on the 5th January '09 at the Limerick Regional Hospital. Frances was pre-deceased by her husband Peter one of the great Limerick and Croom Hurlers of the forties. Mrs.Cregan reached the great age of almost 95 years.
