The return of city Links Bus service has been a welcomed announcement to the Maigueside town this week. In November 2008 the City Link service discontinued its service from Limerick to Cork following strong local representation.

Banogue parish present their annual musical this year ‘Grease' at the Parish Centre opening Feb 7th and 8th and continuing 13th 14th and 15th. They have been presenting shows to expanding audiences with great success for the past 12 years. It is a wonderful achievement in a small rural parish and long may it continue. All work is voluntary and everybody is welcome.

The death occurred last week of Goretti Neville, Wife of Deputy Dan Neville, Kiltannon, Croagh. The communities of West Limerick were saddened to hear the recent death at a young age after a long illness of Mrs. Goretti Neville, mother of Tom, (MCC), and Danny, and daughters Maria and Maeve.
