The re-enactment of the Trail of the Coleen Bawn long associated with Ballycahane Manister will take place in June. The television team visited the area last weekend to initiate the programming for “Nationwide” RTE programme. The television recording will take place on the second week of June and the recording will take in Ballycahane, Crecora, The Old Court House, Bridge St. Limerick the district of Glin on the Shannon Estuary, the Castle of Glen, The Residency of the Knight of Glen, Kilimer, Barrane Cemetery where Eileen Hanley the Coleen Bawn is buried. A coach will facilitate travelling party who wish to be part of the trail of the Coleen Bawn. Details of contact will be published in the near future. Limited seating accommodation will be available as part of the days activities and filming. Local drama personnel will be partaking in their re-enactment of the television recording.
