St. Mary's Church, Croom commemorated the dead of the parish and families associated with the parish on Saturdays Vigil Mass. The mass was concelebrated by Fr. Eamon O'Brien C.C. and Fr. Joe Kennedy P.P. There was a large congregation commemorating the death of those who passed away over the past 12 months. This commemoration is a special night for those who lost husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, family, friends. There was a special organized candelabra positioned in front of the Altar with thirteen unlit candles to signify the thirteen people who died over the year. There was a special large candle placed in the center of the candelabra in remembrance of all those who died. Each bereaved family members name was called to light each candle.

Margaret O'Hara, Caherass, Croom.
Francis O'Dea, Rathbranagh, Croom.
Noel Allen, Glenma, husband of Attracta.
Teresa Wamsley (nee Frawley) St. Senan's Tce. (sister of Christy Frawley).
Martin Kiely, Carrigeen, Croom, (son of Christy and Mary Kiely)
Margaret Mary Frawley, Caemorecourt, Croom.
Mai Hayes, Caharess, relic of late Gearoid Hayes,
Thomas Hickey, Elm Park, Croom and Banogue.
John Ryan, Rathbrnagh, husband of the late Mary Ryan.
Patrick Naughton Pullough, Banogue.
